"Okay, sooooooooo...lanterncrack. Two beaters, two chasers and a keeper: that throws a bit of a spanner in to it. Let's set a match time of twenty minutes: Nuri, Siara and I on one team, and the brothers sunshine on the other. You bauys need to score five against us to win, but don't strain anything: you're not going to get the chance for even one. Sound fair?"
Theo landed upon the pitch and threw open the hatches on his bludger case, re-releasing the malicious orbs in to the sky. The tarnished silver spheres quickly smelled Chaser blood and began to circle around Ralin and Dash Fairborne with tactile anticipation. Theo smiled.
"Siara, can we call upon your whistle for the start?"

It was, by far, a beautiful day. The sun wasn't so high that you would have to shade your skin, but it was still warm enough that the light breeze playing with the leaves overhead was considered plesant rather than bothersome.
Kitt had heard some smatterings about a round-about Quidditch game from a few of her newest patrons, and lounging on the sweetgrass near the playing field sounded like the best idea she had had in a while.
She wasn't sure how long she had drowsed this morning, for she had closed her Shoppe early to run a few errands before the game, but now she opened her lazy eyes to the sight of two Bludgers as they flew swift and true into the air toward two equally agile fliers; one of which was just a tad familiar.
Kitt smiled and sat up, streatching her arms above her head as she looked around at the other viewers of this sport. The breeze picked up a tad and threw all sorts of smells into her nose. Green grass, Luke-warm summer, Fresh dirt...and then something...Her scent tags made the hair on the back of her neck tingle as they flagged in her brain, and her cat-like eyes shrank to slivers as she recognized them.
Excitment and adoration rushed through her as she hopped up with a very wolf-like exclamation. She dashed tyowards the other onlookers, her ears up and her tail high. It has been such a long time since she has seen friends from her past, and she was more than eager to catch up.
"YAP!! Elle! Elle, it's been ages!! And Nuri and Ralin are here too! Sun, moon, and Star Hawks! What a WONDERFUL day! I had no idea that you all would be here, this game only came to me by the off-chance!"

How she heard of it, he’d never know. A pick-up game in Hogsmeade wasn’t exactly his usual choice of afternoon activity, nor was it hers, he knew. She stayed away from brooms, bruising and bleeding easily. For that matter, why she wanted to go and how she’d persuaded him… All he knew was that Elle had mentioned an event in Hogsmeade and he’d promised to meet her there.
He wasn’t sure when this game was supposed to start, or even if he’d enjoy it (the last quidditch match he’d attended had been when Fairborne was getting death threats. Needless to say, his life had lacked excitement for quite a while.
No, that wasn’t right. His life had been nothing if not interesting from the moment he had signed up to become an auror. It was the ordinary kind of exciting he was missing, the mundane things like attending quidditch matches, the sorts of things Cain and Cal would pull him to.
The game was already in process when he walked up the slight hill behind Elle. Alex kept one eye on the sky as a blue-haired female dove after a bludger, hitting it backhand at a red-headed lad who was streaking past with the quaffle.
“Hey.”
"YAP!! Elle! Elle, it's been ages!! And Nuri and Ralin are here too! Sun, moon, and Star Hawks! What a WONDERFUL day! I had no idea that you all would be here, this game only came to me by the off-chance!"
He didn't know the girl who ran up to Elle, shouting excitedly, wagging her tail. He raised an eyebrow as he regarded her dubiously.
