Patronus- Lynx
Wand- Alder, 10" with core of dragon heartstring
History- Daniel's childhood was pleasant and uneventful, and he looked forward to living at Hogwarts very much. By the time he received his letter from the school, Daniel was already well-versed in simple magic. Both he and Ranna were very close, and together they enjoyed studying ancient magic, as well as exploring the Forbidden Forest.
During his sixth year, Daniel began to notice that his sister was becoming more distant from him, manipulative and clever. She would never harm him, but Daniel felt that she was drawing away from him.
One day, while exploring deep into the Forbidden Forest, they stumbled upon the buried ruins of an ancient stone structure of a strange design. Daniel felt nervous about the place, and saw that day was drawing to a close. Ranna insisted that they look around.
Soon they discovered something partially buried in the dirt and moss. At this point Daniel could feel something very ancient around them, and he did not like what he felt. Ranna unburied the object and they saw that it was a stone mask. Made of polished black stone, it reflected the astonished looks on their faces on its surface. It only had eyes, no mouth. Something stirred in that reflection, and Daniel pleaded with Ranna to leave it be. But, intrigued by the power she felt in the object, Ranna began to look through the eyes of the mask, not quite putting it on. Something dark poured out of the mask and tried to pull the mask onto Ranna's face. Daniel tried to wrest it from her grasp, and after struggling for minutes, suddenly Ranna found herself waking up in St. Mungos. Daniel was dead, they told her, his body destroyed by the explosion that had nearly killed her, and left the ruins demolished. But in her dreams, Ranna kept seeing Daniel's eyes looking out through the mask.
