“Of course we won’t get into trouble.”
It was the middle of the afternoon, and Nuriko was skipping class. Or at least, she would be if her teacher hadn’t taken the afternoon off, claiming some sort of illness. The reason didn’t matter, all that did matter was that it was the second week back at school and she had yet to play even one practical joke. Not one.
Nuriko grinned over her shoulder at the students behind her as she crept up the stairs, avoiding the seventh step that sang when stepped on and the tenth step that liked to hold students until they were late for class. Pausing at the top, she waited for her collaborators to catch up, bringing out her wand and starting the spell as she did so.
“Quit worrying.”

"This is stupid. I should report you," Emery stated in her dry voice. He really should. Being a prefect and all it was what he was supposed to do. It was the law, the order and he every much liked things neat and tidy. Really, Emery shouldn't have been here. This time could be better spent rechecking his home work or something. The only reason he'd agree to "come along" was because the prank was being pulled on the people who had threatened Eden. No one had the right to intimidate her, or at least attempt to. The little chit was far to brave for her own good. Still, it angered him. So here he was probably doing something that he shouldn't and would never have done before being abducted. He was tired of doing nothing of being scared.

"This is stupid. I should report you,"
“Then go report me.” Riko said, unphased by the half-hearted threat. “Look, Emery. You gotta loosen up dude. You wind any tighter and they’re gonna start calling you tight-ass.” Truth be told, it wasn’t a question of when. It was a question of when he heard it. Emery was a good friend, but he was about as flexible as a post. The poor kid was practically a mini-adult.
“Besides, those jerks deserve it. There’s a line between pranks and cruelty.” It was personal for the Ravenclaw. Pranks and jokes were her way of life, and someone who used them in a negative way— well that just wasn’t right. No one had ever been hurt by her mischief. Cruelty was unacceptable.
“Now get up here and watch where you step.”
