A parchment given to all the students at the beginning of the year is from Professor Kinjo. It is normally mandatory for first year students or Quidditch players at Hogwarts and others can sign up at their own will. In a small script on the parchment, a snip of an article of the flying class is printed.
Along with that is the equipment and supply lists:
For those who are signing up for the class, there is a strip of parchment attached to the bottom to be torn off and delivered to Professor Kinjo at any given time.

Anybody wanting to join this class should reply to this by the time I start my first class on November 26th. Those wanting to join after that date will have to set up a thread for me and PM me. :] Thank you.
"Flying is a class in which students learn to control their broomsticks to be speedy and agile in the air. The class also goes over the basics of Quidditch for those who would enjoy the game. Flying class is mandatory for first year students, and other year students are also allowed to sign up for higher learning and Quidditch classes if they feel it is appropriate."
Along with that is the equipment and supply lists:
Broomsticks: Broomsticks which the school supplies are currently Shooting Star's. Second year's and beyond may or may not have their own broomsticks, but it is recommended for the advanced classes, and mandatory for Quidditch players.
Books: Seeing as there are very few books needed for the course, only one is assigned for first years: Quidditch Through The Ages. For second years and above the books are as follows: Handbook of Do-It-Yourself Broomcare, The Noble Sport of Warlocks, and one other book regarding flying and Quidditch.
Quidditch balls are handled by the school, there is no need to go out and buy any for school.
