"You're very lucky that you're still young and persuasive, or I would never be out doing this..." The Hogwarts Potions Master lead a group of assorted students out into Hogsmeade on the chilly Christmas night. What was he doing here? He couldn't sing a note. Had never sang a proper note in his life. Yet, here he was.
"I could have asked you at any age and you still would have come with me," Max smirked wryly up at his father from under his knit hat. It was the boy's first Christmas with his father; his mother had had to go to France on business, and the two had done Christmas Eve with Curse's muggle family. That left them to spend Christmas itself with Curse's other children; the Hogwarts students. Somehow, though, Max had convinced his father to continue on in his and his mother's favorite tradition.
"You probably have a point there. Either way, you're going to have to show me how its done. I honestly have never done this in my life." Curse's white hair blended perfectly with the softly falling snow as the boy looked up at him. Their emerald eyes met in reflected excitement. Max was happy to spend Christmas with his new family, and Curse, as always, was very happy to make a fool of himself. "Alright kids! Line up, according to pitch or whatever..."
The professor flailed his arms as the students lined up into two curved rows, each of them holding a black folder in their hands. "Professor," A Ravenclaw student waved in Curse's direction, "We can't see our papers!"
"I can help with that, at least," Curse smiled as he tilted his fingers upward, each of the sudents' papers inside their folders starting to glow a soft gold as he did. The students buzzed with excitement for the night; they always were enchanted by Curse's wandless magic, and right now it was simply an excuse to be excited.
"Dad," Max's round face lit up from the light of his folder, "don't forget you have to sing too."
"Right, right," Curse nodded, smiling uneasily as he pulled out his own folder. "Alright everybody, here we go!" The Potions Master leaned towards the building they were crowded around and knocked.
Creeeieak, The door opened and an air of warmth flowed out at the students. Professor Kameren waved his hand towards the students.
"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland..."
ooc: Open to everyone, whether you be student, adult, or somewhere in between. ^^
