Earlier that morning: During the morning meal, an unfamiliar tall eagle owl went sailing over the other, more mediocre looking owls (in his opinion) straight to the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He delicately looked at the Headmaster and then down at the cream envelope that he had dropped. The envelop opened to reveal this letter:

Adrien looked up from his meal at the owl. "Most people have the courtesy to wait until after the morning meal to inform me of their woes and such." He muttered before wiping his hands off on a napkin. He picked up the letter and read it, annoyance quickly overpowering any other emotion. "Some people just can't let their children go." He muttered. He was thinking to ignore it, but he had a feeling she'd show up with or without his consent. Better to know the time of this little conversation instead of it being a surprise.
Adrien removed a quill from his robe and turned the letter over to the blank space that was the back of it. No reason to waste parchment or at least no reason to actually go and get parchment. If he hadn't had the quill on him he probably would have responded at all. It would have slipped his mind before he managed to get the quill.
He scribbled down a quick note that read;
"Lady Andormeran I do look forward to meeting with you. This afternoon would be a convenient time for me. Also when you arrive I'm sure there will be a teacher or student willing to show you to my office if you don't know how to get there already. The password is Incendio Avifors."
With a flourish of his pen he signed it and rolled it neatly back as it had been. "Hurry on back with the letter." Adrien held the letter out for the owl to take. With that settled he finished his meal and waited for the room to empty. Once the majority of the students had left he went to his office to prepare for this chat.

Sadira Andormeran•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The grand dame of Belle Terre strode through the halls of Hogwarts, her long elegant dress robes barely swiping the floor. The clickety-clack of her stiletto heels was a rare sound in the hallways, as was the slow almost ghostly walk. It seemed Madam Andormeran wanted to make an entrance: to no one in particular. School had not yet started, so there were no black robed individuals to shock and awe. There were no teachers either. In fact, the school seemed largely silent, except for the nervous activity of the pictures... they seemed to be quite anxious. As well they should, thought Lady Sadira. She was an intimidating presence, tall and otherwordly in her stature. Her face was ageless, without lines -- classical and young. People staring at her would never believe she had already sired two children, and one 21 year old. Michael had not known she was going to Hogwarts. She wouldn't have told him either, knowing he would run right to Arkin's office and tell on her. No matter. This Headmaster should be informed about Sienna, should know how to treat her the way she should be treated, given the stature of their House. She was also prepared to give a large 'donation' if necessary -- her account could cover it, without need to inform her husband. One sweep of the corridors gave her no one to ask where the Headmaster's office was, so she deigned to ask one of the paintings. With a small nod of thanks, she went up up up the stairs to the seventh floor. The stairs barely quivered, were these the famed staircases of Hogwarts lore? Sadira herself did not attend Hogwarts, so she was not sure about these things. "Incendio Avifors." she said, her voice a husky tone. The doors opened, and Madam Andormeran stepped in.

Adrien poured himself a small glass of fire whiskey, he had a feeling this woman would try his nerves. They always said the same thing, my child is this and my child is that. He found the whole business irritating, but as Headmaster he had to deal with it. Had to give them that kind smile and nod as if he were actually paying attention to what they were saying. The truth was half the time he was daydreaming a million miles away. He had a feeling this particular parent wasn’t going to let him escape even for a second. The letter itself had given him a warning which was why he was now working on his second glass of fire whiskey. He wasn’t going to get drunk, oh no. He just wanted a little something to calm his nerves so he wouldn’t say anything he’d regret when the overbearing parent started making demands.
That wasn’t the only reason though. He’d had quite the start when he found out his sister was dating a widower. He’d just recently recovered from the howler he’d received after voicing his concerns. He loved his sister to death, but the woman had a temper that scared even the bravest of men. His eyes kept darting to the fireplace were the remains of the howler had once been burning. He was paranoid she’d somehow spelled it to reform itself at a random moment and start shouting at him again. It wouldn’t be beyond her to do something so cruel, she was after all his sister. Temper was hereditary.
Luna his favorite crup walked from her station to her master. She placed her head in his lap and looked up at him questioningly. She was actually requesting permission to bite whoever was going to be visiting him today. Luna disliked these sorts of visitors more than Adrien did and she lacked his patience. A dangerous combination that had Adrien trying to decide what to do with her before his visitor did arrive. He didn’t have enough to make his decision because just then Madam Andormeran stepped in. Adrien placed his hand on the back of Luna’s neck, squeezing it gently to keep her calm. More importantly if she decided to snap he could hold her back before she reached the woman. Luna growled at the approaching woman. It was quiet at first, but it became louder and louder. “Hush.” Adrien said soothingly, but it was obvious from the bit of steel in it that it was a command. Luna wasn’t too far gone in her being “protective” to ignore the command. She sat back on her haunches and fell silent, but she watched Madam Andormeran warily. Adrien ran his fingers up and down her back until she relaxed as much as she would. Luna wasn't going to lunge at the woman, but that didn't mean she was happy with her prescience.
“Please have a seat.” Adrien gestured to the chair in front of his desk. He waited until she was seated and gestured to the bottle of fire whiskey he had used to pour two glasses for himself. “Before we start this meeting can I interest you in something to drink?” He was trying to stall it for as long as he could. There was always that naive hope that if he got them to talk for a few minutes they’d forget why they’d even come here. They’d leave and the whole thing would be avoided, to date it had never been a successful tactic. He doubted today would be the day it would work.

Sadira Andormeran•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The man was a blessing come down from the high heavens. Sadira's eyes widened slightly as she swished into the office. She had been prepared to deal with an aging old crone with a floor-length beard, not this... mmmmm. Man candy. “Before we start this meeting can I interest you in something to drink?” The husky voiced woman suddenly changed into a trilling, not-quite-that-young girl. "Oh, Headmaster! You're a charmer..." said Sadira, looking down briefly on her hands before looking up flirtily. "You know a Lady doesn't take spirits." Sadira waited a moment, then she pursed her lips (with yet another bat of her eyelashes). "Oh, if you insist. Just one sip." She took the cup of firewhiskey, and nearly gasped as it burned down her throat. It took her several hard coughs to recover. "Merlin! I didn't know it was that strong... I'm just a sheltered you girl, you see." she said, blinking -- her eyes had watered from the strength of the firewhiskey. Sadira drank spirits of course (being Pureblooded in this society could drive anyone to drink.) But being a helpless young woman (in her mind) tended to attract strong males like this one. "Oh, umm... as to why I came here, Headmaster." she trilled. "My daughter, Sienna, is going to be here in Hogwarts for this school year. She is a very special girl, Headmaster. Very special."

Adrien tried his best to hide his both surprised and frightened reaction to her sudden outburst. “One of those women…” He thought to himself. “Maybe I shouldn’t have been so quick to tell Luna not to bite.” When he saw the flirtatious look any possibility of this woman being a lady went out the window in his opinion. “A lady all right. The type that after a few drinks dances on the table and tries to snog the closest thing on two legs.”
Adrien was wishing he hadn’t offered her the drink, but before he could withdraw the precious alcoholic beverage she already had a glass. “Dear god…” He thought to himself waiting for what horror might befall him next. When she started coughing he didn’t ask if she was okay. He was trying to decide if it was theatrics or not. Whatever it was it wasn’t going to change his opinion of this woman.
“Every child is special.” Adrien said calmly. He never thought he’d be happy to have a parent back on topic. This meant he was safe from her advances, at least for now. “Andlike the others she will be treated regardless of how very special she is.”

"B-b-but, Headmaster, you don't understand!" said Sadira, standing up. She swished around the room, delicately avoiding the crup that stood next to the Headmaster. She went nearer to him, her head bowed so she could look up at him. Men tended to like it when women took a more subservient position, she had found.
"My daughter has a delicate constitution, she has never really been out of our home." continued the woman, puppy dog eyeing the tall, delicious-looking man. He looked composed for most part, but men were such men that way -- not showing their emotions. She knew he wanted her, wanted her right now...
She looked away, dramatically sighing. "I'm afraid my husband has sheltered my girl so much that she knows nothing of the world outside. Although I truly do not want continue his smothering, I feel that I might need some time to acclimate my baby to the world we all live in."
Suddenly wide-eyed, she looked at the Headmaster. "I have a wonderful idea! If you would allow a young, doting parent permission, I could stay here for a little while, so that Sienna would not get so sad and homesick!"
She had no such thoughts before the meeting had started, as her only intent was to inform the Headmaster of the special privileges she thought he must allow Sienna, as Sienna angry was not a good sight to see. But staying here had quite many merits, and the more she thought about it, the more enthusiastic she became.

Adrien was finding the woman very irritating. The way she tried to use her looks to get him to bend, it wasn’t working. It made him view her more as a high class whore than a concerned mother, he couldn’t take her seriously. The whole situation was actually sickening to him. “And what don’t I understand?” Adrien said, regretting how harsh his voice sounded. He had spoken seconds after her with a bit of temper evident. She was grating his nerves at an alarming rate and it was starting to show.
“Well now she is getting out of her home. Your concern is noted, but everything will be fine. Your daughter needs to have a chance to see the world without the influence of parents.” The puppy dog eyes had an adverse affect on him, he was thinking about what a pleasure it would be to strike her with a jinx or three. His fingers twitched briefly at the thought, he was very tempted to go through with the whim .It was the amount of paperwork and the complaints he’d have to deal with that kept him from going through with that fantasy.
“Lady.” He interrupted. “She will be perfectly fine here. This is a safe institution for her to make mistakes in. It is part of the purpose. Hogwarts is a safe environment for students to learn and grow. They learn how to be independent and what the world really is like, but in a way that ensures they won’t come to harm. At least not in any serous way and those tend to be accidents of the random sort.” He mused. “You needn’t worry about that unless your daughter is of a very unlucky breed like some of the children we have at our school.”
Adrien shook his head. “I must regretfully say that I can not allow that. At least not without talking to the Deputy Headmistresses on the subject. I don’t think it would be a good idea to have a parent staying on the grounds even if for a small amount of time. I feel it would be detrimental to your daughters learning experience.” Adrien sighed; he didn’t think she would accept that excuse. “I just don’t feel comfortable with you staying here. I think it would have adverse affects.”

Sadira had an idea about what adverse effects those would be. However, she was nothing if not determined.
"I would be absolutely no trouble, Headmaster!" she gushed, warming to the idea immensely. Ideas were filling in her head. "In my old school, we were not put in Houses... instead, we had small manors scattered throughout the campus where first years applied to and had to be accepted in."
"These houses of course, had to have adult supervision, as students should not be allowed to just stay in places on their own-- that would be perfect disaster, would it not?" said Sadira, skirts swinging to and fro as she paced in the Headmaster's office, intent on her idea. It was enough to make anyone's head explode, her pacing and the shrill tone of her excited voice.
Sadira immediately went to the Headmaster, jumping up and down. "I could be that adult! I know exactly what should be done, and I've had experiences with children... I do have two of my own, with one of them nigh on full grown, and quite capable of handling himself. What do you think?"
She poured herself a shot of the firewhiskey, the excitement making her temporarily forget her charade of society lady. "Just think of it, you and me -- I mean, me and the children! Especially my poor darling Sienna. I'm sure she would be overjoyed!"
Her dear darling Sienna would be mortified, but she needn't mention that little tidbit to the Headmaster.

“May I ask you a question?” Adrien said interrupting her high pitched excitement. “Why exactly do you want to “assist” this school in dealing with its students? Which we don’t require just for the record. It seems to me as if you aren’t here to help the students, but your daughter. I do believe doing that would cripple her more than help her as you seem to think.” Adrien steepled his fingers, leaning forward just a little. To most it would seem like he was contemplating her idea. To those who knew him they would know what was going on in his head. He wasn’t weighing the consequences of cursing the woman silly, oh no he was trying to decide which spell would best fit the situation.
Adrien paused trying to decide the best way to word his refusal. “You may have experience in raising children, but that experience is not best suited for a school. We aren’t here to play the role of a parent, but to guide them. I fear that your very loving and affectionate motherly personality might not be best suited for the school. We would like them to learn to be independent and I fear someone who is such a wonderful mother might make it difficult for them to break out of their comfort zones.” Refusal with a compliment, he was silently pleading with fate for it to work.
He noticed her taking another shot of firewhiskey. Adrien pushed the bottle forward silently offering her more. If he got the woman drunk enough maybe she’d do something he could use against her. Blackmail was a dirty tactic, but it was an effective one he wasn’t above using at this current moment in time.

"Well, you see, this is how it's going to work..." said Sadira, elaborating on her fantastical idea of living in the school and working as a House mother for one of the Houses. She poured herself another shot of the firewhiskey that the Headmaster offered, unaware that it was actually really getting to her head.
--
"She what?!"
The shout echoed through Belle Terre and a mini-whirlwind of man suddenly whooshed from the manor to the Floo Gate. Dragging the house servant with him (half of their servants were human, since Sadira found the house elves creepy) Arkin Andormeran paused at the gate.
"Tell me again, in exact detail, what my darling wife --" Andormeran paused, his face looking disgusted at the word, "-- has done now."
The stuttering servant could barely talk, tendrils of ash blonde hair curling over a red, perspiring face. She had crumpled her small white cap so severely, it looked as if it would never recover. "S-S-She mentioned that t-t-the Head-d-d..." the house servant gulped at the glare Andormeran gave. "T-t-the Headmaster s-s-should know about... the little miss." said the house servant, ending in a small whisper.
"What time did she leave?"
"A-a-about an h-h-hour or so ago, milord." stuttered the servant.
Andormeran nodded. Just enough time for Sadira to do something stupid. Merlin, why I ever married that woman I do not know. He stalked to the Floo Gate, throwing some Floo powder on the fireplace. "The Three Broomsticks."
--
"So you see, Headmaster..." said Sadira, blinking a little bit. It had taken a long long time in explanation, and she wasn't sure that she had gotten every detail correctly. She had already consumed quite a large amount of firewhisky, and was getting woozy -- she was only woozy, mind, not drunk oh no, never that. Sadira was a society lady, a revered matron of Pureblood society and she would never countenance drinking to excess. Nope, no, never.
"I do understand that this arrangement may be surprising for many people, but I am sure you can bring them around..." said Sadira, her mouth in a full on come-hither smile. She had stopped disguising her rather blatant flirting 3 shots down. She rose from the seat and when towards the Headmaster, swaying as if to emphasize her trim, still young figure. "Now, Headmaster, I'd like to show you the more intricate benefits of this sort of arrangement --"
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!
The loud knocks echoed throughout the room, though the muffled shouting couldn't be heard clearly.
"Oh my." said Sadira, her hand to her throat. "Uhm, as I was saying, Headmaster.."

Adrien tried his best to give a neutral facial expression instead of showing his agitation. There were a good many things he disliked and one of them was being told how he was going to do his job. He was silently hoping the woman drank herself under the table so he could escort her out of his office and out of Hogwarts. Leave her somewhere in the forbidden forest for some unlucky creature to have to deal with. That however wasn’t an appropriate way to deal with parents. The only drawback to his chosen profession, limited ways to deal with pest.
As her explanation came to an end he found himself wanting to strangle her more and more. Not only had she practically planned the whole thing out without room for any sort of compromise, but he now found himself dealing with a woman who had consumed a little too much alcohol. The plan had been simple, but it seemed fate had decided to curse him. The woman wasn’t easier to deal with; she had gotten worse and was choosing the whorish tactic to get her wish. “As tempting as your offer is.” Adrien lied and tried not to gag on the words. “Such an arrangement would be inappropriate.” He gestured towards himself and then her. “You are a parent, a married woman. I am the professor at this school. Such a thing wouldn’t escape the notice of one person or another and such a scandal could have us both in a bit of hot water. Think of your marriage, your daughter. If that isn’t enough think of yourself. What will people think of you? A woman of society having an affair in an attempt to gain a position that is unneeded. The least you could do if you sell your body for a position that is actually needed and worth the trade off of prestige and purity.” He was growing tired of this game and it was obvious. The attempts at being kind were starting to fade. If she stayed any longer he’d tell her flat out what he thought of her and where she could shove her proposition.
Adrien glanced at the door and sighed from relief. Finally someone would come and interrupt this meeting. He picked up his wand and pointed it at the door which swung open without a sound. “Come in.” He said to the person on the other side. “I do believe Lady Sadira was just leaving.”
