Curse in Learning to Fly:
"Besides, broomsticks were the most idiotically-designed flying objects he could think of. It crushed parts of him he never wanted crushed."

From Growing Pains: Theo is very adorable when he's flustered around women. Poor man, he does his best ~~~~ " Foot.Mouth. Me. Theo opened his mouth but nothing came out, his better judgment slapping him sideways for coming to a hasty conclusion. "

Conan Breandan in Light Be Upon You...
He gave V a look that demanded honesty. She looked like shit. Like Cousin Fredrick after he’d pissed off that dragon, though honestly more lively. Cousin Fredrick hadn’t survived pissing off the dragon.

From Jack in We Fall Together:
"Jack lay on the floor, his legs extended, his hands on his midsection as he stared at the ceiling. There was no point in getting up. He had more to say, and he might injure himself on the way down again."

From Elle in Games of Pickup. Attn: Alex...there's a very SUBTLE HINT in it. I'm just saying...you never can be too obvious.
"A small pang of disappointment rushed through her when she noticed that a certain lanky auror hadn't arrived. Well, he said he might come, which probably meant he wouldn't. Oh well, best not to be caught drooling..."
(((Pssssst. Alex. Do you see it? I've underlined it for you just in case.)))

Max in Games Evil Plays...
"For my ninth birthday he drew me a dragon while he was in hospital. I thought maybe I could draw some for him as decorations."
The very thought of Curse giving that gift to Max from the hospital took me to a whole new level of squeedom. I can't say enough how much I adore the Curse/Max relationship; it's very real and there's a whole lot of love despite fate's rough edges.

From Arianna in "Daniel's Secrets":
Surely, this was something like Max blowing up the house, or making the pets switch bodies or something.
I love that. He sounds like a mini-me ^_^ Max's antics always make me smile.

From "Game Evil Plays:
'Max sniffled, trying to fight back his fear to look tough and strong, like his dad. "I-I... I want to do balloons at the party, but I don't-don't kn-know how to hi-ide them..." Talking about the party made him feel slightly better, but the terror grew with each sound from outside. '
--Max's courage despite his terror, and how his young age shows through his posts really makes me love Max all the more. I want to give him a hug! (and I feel like a meanie making Mosrael kidnap him...lol)

LOVED Max's balloon quote too - beautiful.
Whole thread is awesome...
Nuri in Games Evil Plays:
“Mum.” She held out her hands, a blue mist appearing above them and replaying a short scene. “This came in, screwed up my new potion.” She looked down. “And I broke the good china.”
Alex, in the same thread...
Alex never got a message from his brother with good news. It never failed. Every. Single. Time. Something bad. Death, murder, mayhem. Sickness, bad days, babysitting. Every freaking time.
Mosrael in the same thread...
"I'll tell you what you fear losing, Alex Kameren. And then I will take him from you."

Alex Kameren in Alex Kameren:
Alex got his message by telegraph, a simple typed translation. The folded yellow paper had hit him in the head with more force than was either necessary or even seemed possible for such a small square of paper. He unfolded it, the short message was engulfed on all sides by wide, blank spaces of yellow. He stared at the words, as of yet not comprehending. As with his visit to Azkaban only a week prior, his emotions were conflicting.
Jack Harkness in We Fall Together:
The seas Jack drowned in grew in violence as the curse wavered between loyalty to its mistress and keeping Jack’s mind under control. Finally the foreign mind was gone, and Jack felt a snap, as if an overstretched rubber band had snapped back to its original position, slightly too big.

Because she deserves it:
Theo in We Fall Together is collectively awesome, but this part in particular:
Terror gripped at Theo’s heart and clamped down hard; heartbeats pounded beneath taut flesh, ice ran through constricted veins, and layers of cool sweat trickled their way down his back to pool at the edge of his pants band. Emotions flickered so quickly and so confusedly across Jack’s face that he couldn’t keep pace and the gentleness and warmth that had always defined his beloved brother were now lost within dilated, hate-filled eyes. Jack’s lips contorted. His voice changed pitch. For a moment, the man’s breathing was so heavy and so guttural that Theo had to loosen his grip. He at once feared hurting his brother and being hurt by his brother.
Theo released a pent-up cry, his face falling in to his hand. He thought on those already lost and on those who were well on their way. The ire of Curse Kameren. The spite of Reckony Pike. The judgment of former brethren. The broken hearts of Ralin and Maebh. Family who would ask questions. Family who would try to understand. Family who would fall in this impending war with them because it’s what this family did. And there was nothing he could do to stop them.
Theo in Chronicles of Clan Harkness:
“By his instructions, to provide transportation, financial services and general supervision duties only. I am not to embarrass his daughter because she’s almost an adult and is completely capable of making her own decisions.”
Theo in Games of Pickup:
"Hey, watch what you say about Miss Elswyth there, flyboy. She's got moves you've never seen and there's a whole world of hurting in it for you." Theo winked at Ralin and Fairborne, taking to the sky on his Nimbus Squall to stretch out a few kinks in his muscles.
Reck in Light be upon you:
Reckony eyed the man carefully, seeing the fatigue that rested upon his features. Funny...He had had many an encounter with Conan Breandan and always in the worst of circumstances. Both of them got on each other's nerves and an odd bravado forever came between them. But Pike had never really looked at him. For the first time he caught the glances and the averted eyes that he had been to blind to see. He wondered what was going on inside the man's head. __
"Oh, no, sorry - I don't speak much Irish. I just know 'fuair bás leat beagnach.' My mom used it. OFTEN. 'Fuair bás leat beagnach, Reckony! Don't stick your finger in that, I swear!' You know. Kids." Reckony half-huffed, half-chuckled, feeling awkward. There was a heaviness in the air and he felt slightly responsible for it.
Reck in Round Two:
"I...I think I'm going to be sick."
With an awkward, gut-wrenching lurch, Reckony clasped a hand over his mouth and pushed Conan and his knife away. He rushed for the nearest wastebasket, losing his breakfast, lunch and dinner in one fell swoop.
Reck in the Ball:
"That sly bastard. Standing there like a hero. I see right through him. We're going to get to the bottom of this, my love. They've messed with the wrong village. And anyone who stands in our way will wish they hadn't." The barkeep drew Maebh in close, his arm protectively shielding her back. Piercing blue eyes found their way to the Minister and gutted him. Slighted him. Threatened him.
Reck in Leaving them Be:
"Capital." Pike took a deep breath, trying to quell the sensations that were now emanating through his body. His voice was slightly higher than normal. "If you will excuse me, I'm just going to set a barrel on fire. Signals..." He left the women with a slight blush upon his cheeks.

Max Kameren, In the Grasp of the Basilisk...
Max glared at the man, his round green eyes falling down toward the tray. With a blink, the tray of delicious food burst into flames from the boy's Incendio spell. He would not co-operate. He refused. Max didn't move, just looked up at the man, daring him to say something. If they touched him or hurt him in any way, he knew their Dark Lady would punish them for it. So he would make their lives as difficult as he could in the meantime.

Reece Elswyth in Games Evil Plays...
“And Curse?” Reece’s voice was hard, “No need to be gentle. I remember her from the War. She tortured whole families.”

Arianna Blackthorn in Games Evil Plays...
Ari strode forward, just as Curse and Reece stalked towards a woman with no legs. Ari paused, belatedly realizing she had nearly tripped over that woman’s limb.
