Build/height- Slightly masculine/5’7 ft
General Description- Long brown hair falls from the top of his head. Sometimes it is very long and other times he has it cut to a pretty short length. It all depends on how he feels at the time about his hair. Usually it’s kept combed nicely but if he’s been at his work for some time, it ends up spiking all around his face. Or if he first gets up in the morning his hair is most likely standing up. Sometimes his bangs sweep across his eyes, covering them view or parted in a cool way to one side. But speaking of Hisoka’s eyes, they are a dark brown that seem like a voice in which it devours all light. Fuzzy eyebrows can be found above his eyes and when surprised they rise up quite high.
A round face can be found attached to a small neck that holds it up high and proud. On either side of the cranium are two smallish round ears that are usually covered up by his hair. Slipping down the middle of his face is a slender roundish nose that can be found. Whenever upset or angry his nostrils flare open to a larger side, revealing the anger he harbors. Below his nose are two large lips, usually in a thin line of seriousness. Or if amused quirked slightly to show it as he does enjoy a good joke every now and then, just no on duty. Round childlike cheeks can be found on either side of his lips, giving him a youthful look.
Slightly masculine is Hisoka’s build but it has a feminine touch to it. A creamy tan color covers his body, the skin hardened from his line of work, especially the hands. Proudly he stands at the height of 5’7 ft, and though it may not make him the tallest around it is still pretty high. Clothing usually consists of all black, as black is his favorite color. Sometimes he will wear different colors but he likes black as it keeps him camouflaged especially at night. His right ear is pierced two times at the very tip.
Possessions- A necklace he wears always from his ex-boyfriend who killed himself.
Personality:
Temperament/Mental Attributes- Even though he is generally quiet and strays from being around people Hisoka isn’t that scar. Okay that’s a lie; he puts on a scary front so students know better than to cross him. Indeed he is gruff and cold as he doesn’t give an inch when it comes to protecting the Hogwarts grounds. Sure he is no superman but he is very hard to make move as his stubborn ego gets in the way. Like a wall Hisoka’s unmovable by mortal hands and he won’t move unless a fellow staff member requests him to or the Headmaster/mistress tells him to. Otherwise students just have no luck when it comes to a man who seems to be on duty 24/7 because in truth he has to be. The grounds need to be looked after at all times in his eyes and it isn’t an easy job for one person he’ll tell.
While he is distant, he does seem to get a bit friendly when he is not on duty. Sometimes he will even willingly talk to people around him, especially when he’s at a pub or bar drinking. Yeah he drinks, he smokes and used to experiment with drugs (doesn’t now but did), but it’s to keep him calm. While his job may not sound so hard, it actually is full of surprises that can mess with one’s mind. He used to make fun of the groundskeeper in his day, but now he knows better than to do that. Hisoka bets he will end up insane before he retires and so he has to use some things to keep him from freaking out completely. Also it keeps him from getting close to people as he is afraid he might truly go insane one day and just become a psychotic killer or something like that. So he keeps a wall around himself for more than just to make students behave/fear him.
Protective of the people he looks after, Hisoka’s not above in sacrificing himself for them. In his mind he will do anything and everything that he is capable of to protect the people in the school. Viewing himself as the guardian of Hogwarts, he is often vigilant around his surroundings. No, he doesn’t take things lightly either so doesn’t joke about serious things with him. If a student pretends to be hurt or if a prank is pulled, he will make sure they suffer consequences. And if the school won’t punish the students, he will personally do it even if he has to do it secretly. It’s just his way of showing he cares even if it makes him seem like a scary bad guy that the kids can hate.
Of course outside of his work, he is a kind of normal person. Sure, he’s a homosexual who likes to go drinking and bringing someone home for a one night stand, but he’s learned that commitment between two people isn’t easy. He has had his heart broken before so it’s why he doesn’t commit, even if his heart tells him he is in love. In a way that is why Hisoka’s always on duty, he is trying to escape the heartache he feels when he has to be a normal person. Work takes his mind off painful subjects and he’s rather work until he is bleeding then think about painful memories.

Other Information-
History- Hisoka Nakayama was born as the second child to Akira and Yuriko Nakayama in Liverpool. They already had a son, his elder brother Gin whom was only three years older than he when he was born. Yet they were able to become close since Gin was only a child himself who was already showing signs of having his father’s wizarding blood. They did not know if Hisoka’s own blood would have their father’s gift for he was still just a babe. But they kept an eye out, however he was not like his brother at all who excelled as they grew older. Even before Gin was accepted into Hogwarts he already knew some thigns that took wizards forever to figure out. However, this did not harbor jealous in Hisoka for he found his own talent and that was in music.
Although his powers were not as strong as his brother he began to feel some resentment. When Gin went to Hogwarts he was making a name for himself as one of the best in the positions class. Now, Hisoka loved his brother deeply but he was sick of hearing the constant praise his family gave to him. When it was his turn to attend Hogwarts there was so much expectation put on him the poor boy nearly broke in his second year. It was his third year when he found out what wonders drinking and smoking could do when stressed. Hanging out with as his brother put it “the wrong crowd” gave him some interesting experiences. One of them was his first and last time to do drugs. One of the students had snuck them into their dorm room and well, it was a night he remembers well.
It was also the night he realized he was gay because apparently they did a lot more high than he remembered. For when he woke up he was curled up naked with the other boy who was stretched out naked as well. The two decided to give going steady a try, but it didn’t last very long. No, it wasn’t that either of them felt they had to put up a front. Hisoka’s lover killed himself in the middle of their fourth year. That was probably the most painful memory and Hisoka went down a lonely quiet road. Not even his family could get him out of his depression as he slowly neglected his school work. Finally one someone he was sent to talk to a counselor and it helped him somewhat. He was able to pass his tests as he made it to his sixth and seventh year in Hogwarts.
While he graduated his brother became an Auror while he was working on his music, joining a band. The band didn’t last for long so he had to find something else to do. While reading the Daily Prophet he found out the old Groundskeeper had retired and Hogwarts was looking for someone to take over the position. So, Hisoka decided to give it a try and through hard work he got the job. Feeling accomplished he knew he wasn’t like his brother with his high position in the Auror office, but he at least had a position at all right? Years have come and gone, some heart breaks, some fights with his brother and protecting students has made Hisoka who he is today. His life continues on and he knows that someday he is going to have to retire. But he is still enjoying life, still playing music and taking a smoking and drinking break every now and then.
