"Bring bread home with me once I'm off the train, got it. Alright, see you soon Violet. Yeah, love you too. Bye."
It wasn't until Curse was finally seated in the muggle train, his phone turned off, that he was finally able to relax. September had been a whirlwind; Hogwarts was back in session and he was teaching classes, and to say his Second Years were behind would be an understatement. Being a Head of House proved interesting as well, where his attention to covering his own relationship with the Ancient Runes Professor was cast aside so he could spend more time keeping the Ravenclaw students' relationships in check. Had students always been this melodramatic? He couldn't help but feel this was different from last year.
His injury was coming along, and Curse was now able to lift his arm above his head, though still he couldn't put any other weight on it. Arianna was being patient with him, however, and it reassured him when he was frustrated. Their wedding plans were also underway, as well as the reconstruction of their home in Godric's Hollow.
Amelia thankfully eased up on her restrictions, allowing Max to take Curse's potions class. Excellent, because Max was already leagues ahead of the imbecile the school had hired to replace him. That was enough for now, but Curse would be meeting with Amelia when the train stopped in Muggle London.
With much of his magical life finally coming back into order, it was time to take care of his muggle life. Being a half-blood, he had been neglecting the muggle side of his parentage since his move to Hogwarts. Now he was playing catch-up; his weekend was going to be spent at his adoptive parents' apartment. He needed to tell Violet about the wedding, and get Violet and Arianna in contact over preparation. Jasper wasn't feeling well, and Curse wanted to check up on his father. Besides that, Manchester was playing Chelsea on Saturday, and Jasper needed someone who recognized how important that was. A slight crooked smile pulled at Curse's face at the thought.
He put his phone away, replacing it with a thick leather-bound notebook stuffed with pieces of parchment. His handwriting was too messy for any peeping muggle passers-by to see what his lesson plans were about, and even if they could read it, they would simply think he was a loony. He had only been writing a few minutes before another passenger took a seat across from him.
"Oh, sorry mate." Curse pushed his backpack under his own seat with the soft clink of the potion bottles within, not glancing up from his notebook to see his co-passenger.
ooc: Hope that's alright Theo, it got a bit rambly I suppose. Wanted to bring the story up a bit from early September to early October. ^^
