---------------------------------------
-:: Physical Attributes ::-
Height + Build: Ranna is of average height, around 5’5”, with a slender form and pale skin. She appears to be more fragile than strong, but she is fit and lean. Physical strength is not her forte, although she makes a point to remain in shape. Her strengths lie more along mental acuity.
Eyes: Pale grey-green eyes
Hair: Black
Physical Attributes/Description: Ranna’s face is fine-boned, framed in shoulder-length black hair. She has pale grey eyes that often seem to be smiling at some inward joke. She has narrow shoulders and a slender build. She appears to be younger than she really is, and this fact of her appearance has a disarming effect on those who meet her. They assume she is just a naive young woman. Her movements are quick and agile; she moves as though she is dancing.
Clothing: She wears robes that do not attract much attention for work, and prefers bland, dark colours. The only jewelry she wears is an onyx armband with a strange symbol engraved along its length.
When under the persona of 'Mosrael', Ranna wears an intricate mask over her face, to hide her features from those who would connect her to her normal appearance as Ranna. The masks vary depending on her mood and the impression she wishes to make. Some even have magical properties.
Personal Items: She has a great horned owl, and owns an apartment near the border between muggle and wizarding London. Inside her apartment she has a strange collection of artifacts and pieces that look as though they’ve been dug up from her backyard. Her fireplace is connected to the Floo network.
---------------------------------------
-:: Personality ::-
Good, Evil, or Neutral: Evil; she serves the dark magics.
Temperament/Mental Attributes: As Ranna, her face seems open and cheery, though to the more observant it seems like there is something more lurking under her outward expressions. Despite her pale appearance and drab clothing, she seems to attract people with her eager and smiling disposition.
But to those who know her as Mosrael, a new force in the hidden world of the dark arts, she is smiling only when things are about to get more unpleasant, or going according to plan. She is not crazy for power or uncontrolled, rather her hidden agendas remain unknown, and so far her motives are unknown as well. Does she want to ally with the other dark wizards of power? Or does she seek to overthrow the Ministry and rule the wizarding world? Perhaps her agenda is neither of these. She likes to use theatricality to her advantage. She does not monologue. Mosrael prefers mind games to physical strength.
Strengths: Ranna’s mind is her greatest strength. Though nimble physically, it is her intellect that she relies upon. Even as a child she loved solving puzzles. She was sorted to Ravenclaw and graduated with full marks except for flying class. She couldn’t stand flying around on pieces of wood. Why bother, when she could instead read books or solve puzzles, or explore the reaches of the Forbidden Forest at night? Many people have intellect as their strength, but Ranna’s area of expertise is more on cunning and solving, or creating, puzzles. She has an affinity for magical creatures, and often treats them with more regard than humans.
Weaknesses: Ranna is not strong physically. Enough to hold her own, but she would not win in a fistfight. She’d rather play mind games with her opponent. She does not like crowds or deep water. Her opinion of her ‘higher intellect’ can make her proud and egotistical. Relationships she avoids at all costs, and reference to her family or any relationships can make her snappish and ill-tempered.
---------------------------------------
-:: Education/Employment ::-
ADULTS
Former House: Ravenclaw
Job Position: She works in the Dept. for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and is often a liason between her department and others, such as Magical Law Enforcement when such cases arise that involve magical creatures.
Employer: Ministry of Magic (Ranna is new to this area of the Wizarding world, so we must assume she has not met anyone yet)
Career Goals: She is working her way towards becoming an Unspeakable.
---------------------------------------
-:: Other ::-
Magical Skills: Wandless magic, she is also very skilled at illusion. Ranna is skilled in legilimens and occlumency. She has great skill in the area of magical creatures, and often enlists them in her schemes.
Animagus form: A barn owl.
Patronus: a dire wolf from ancient Ireland
Wand: rowan, 10”, core of thestral wing membrane
Goals/Aspirations: Her motives are unknown, but one thing is on her agenda at this time: to work her way into the Ministry and those following the Dark Arts. She is new to this area and wants to make connections, allies, and determine her enemies. She must establish contacts and followers.
Other Information: Ranna has slight vampire blood, which is the cause of her pale appearance and better-than-average ability to see in the dark.

-:: History/Background ::-
History: Ranna's family was originally from England, but they moved to Latvia to join the growing wizarding community near Gulbene. Her childhood was relatively normal, except that her parents noticed she was very keen-minded, especially at puzzles. It was no surprise, then, when she was sorted to Ravenclaw upon entering Hogwarts. Her first few years were uneventful. Her teachers were fond of her disarming personality and she was keen to learn from them. She began to explore the Forbidden Forest in her fourth year, and excelled most in Care of Magical Creatures and DADA.
Ranna was very close to her older brother, Daniel. He was one year ahead of her. Throughout their childhood they spent much of their time together. Both favored mental acuity over other aspects of learning. When he discovered her ventures into the forest, he at first joined her, but in Ranna's fifth year he began to try to dissuade her from going into the forest. He also noticed she was beginning to gather a following around her, mainly those from Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and her moods became harder to follow.
Then came the incident in the forest. Daniel was dead (or so the ministry told her), and Ranna distraught, barely alive. She had to retake her fifth year, having spent the latter half recuperating. But she had changed. No one knows of any record of what happened. It was assumed that they had been attacked by a wild creature, and left it at that.
Through her last years at Hogwarts, Ranna was reclusive, manipulating, and openly defiant of the teachers. Several minor incidents involving other students nearly got her expelled, but she graduated with full marks.
Ranna spent several years working minor jobs around London, and then she packed up her things and returned to Latvia. Her parents had died in the War with Voldemort (they were Death Eaters), and her other brother was an unknown. After traveling and spending time in other wizarding communities, Ranna has returned to London and hired on at the Ministry.
As Mosrael, she began to do 'experiments', as she called them, attacking several places in the wizarding world, including Hogsmeade, and then vanishing without a trace. Her only signatures were the masks she wore, and the dark mark of shadow in the sky above the attacked place. She began gathering a following in the wizarding underground.
Then Mosrael vanished.
Ranna continued working at the Ministry unobtrusively, but for the moment, her plans as Mosrael were on hold. What was she waiting for? No one knows, but it has been months since anyone has heard from the mysterious masked dark witch that began terrorizing innocent wizards.
